Presentation of a new project of collaboration between nkd – the Nordic artists center in Dale, the Jakob Sande-foundation in Dale and Red Cross Nordic United World College in Flekke.

The project consists of receiving a human rights defender in exile - an individual working at the intersection of arts and journalism – and providing him or her with short-term safe haven in Dale. During their stay there will be organized meetings and talks - some of which are open to the general public - to discuss matters concerning freedom of expression and basic human rights for all.

The first journalist invited to Dale is Shakeb Isaar a young music journalist (VJ) from Kabul in Afghanistan now living in Sweden. He will stay in Dale from October until the end of this year.

The project is based on nkds cooperation with the New York based organization freeDimensional and the Copenhagen based international organization FREEMUSE.
